Everything superfluous has to go. Only the essential
has to remain. It is the Sailing Yacht Alithia (Αληθεια).
She is named after the Greek word for truth and truthfulness, for what
will not to be forgotten.
And it is true. We discover, more is less, simplicity
fuses function and form, performance and aesthetics. We envision a new
generation of world cruiser racer. People in relentless pursuit of excellence
make it happen.
Jens Cornelsen, the owner representative and
project manager, assembles and leads an innovative and experienced, a
courageous and diligent team of professionals, a team that understands,
feels and shares the vision, that pushes and perfects the execution, that
searches for new ideas and best of breed solutions, that pushes to and
beyond the limits.
Bill Tripp sculpts the ultra-fast hull, sleek
profile and powerful sail plan. He lowers the shear, he designs the plumb
bow, the pedestals, sail control pods and the dodger/bimini. He enhances
every high performance aspect through structural details, use of lightweight
materials and weight control. Marrying the newest technologies to proven
hull and foil shapes he makes the yacht sail on the water, not through
it. She achieves stunning performance through the whole range from light
winds to gale conditions.

Andrew Winch creates the pure lines of the
profile and superstructure, of the exterior and interior, reducing everything
to the essential. The minimalist style eliminates all superfluous functions,
over boarding features and decorative details to remain with pure performance
and aesthetics. The exterior with the blue majestic hull and silver metallic
deckhouse, coaming, rig and the interior with all-natural materials using
maple, glass and leather blend into a sensual and inspiring environment.
Illumination with discreet indirect lighting underlines the elegant simplicity.
And it takes the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard
applying cutting edge material and production technologies and deploying
new hull and structural designs like a new style keel construction, a
new engine and generator exhaust system, new safety systems and many other
new solutions; or subcontractors like the people from Rodiek building
a perfectly styled, fitted and space efficient interior.
Most importantly it takes the dozens and hundreds
of engineers, drafters and craftsmen under whose hands the yacht comes
true.
We are totally fascinated by the experience of building
this cruising and racing machine. We are totally fascinated by the level
of achievement in simplicity and truthfulness. It is setting the trend
for a new generation of vessels for the seven seas.
